Fat Cat’s Cafe started off as a dream several years in the making. From the very first dish I made when I was eight years old (fish in white wine sauce in case you’re curious) to the folders full of images and colour schemes I had squirrelled away in hope, nothing could prepare me for the reality of running a real live cafe.

Every day brought with it a new lesson learned. We discovered that some days would be harder than others, that some customers would become our extended family and that nothing beats the look of joy when people take that first bite into something you have created.

Two years down the line, I finally manage to start the blog that has been percolating away all along. I plan to use this platform to share our passion for food, travel and the good life. There will be many recipes to share, restaurants to review, places to visit, and much food to be enjoyed. Do come along for the ride…
